Nella casa del maestro Luis Landea nell’entroterra ligure imparai le basi del mio stile musicale, molto particolare, basato sul rispetto del testo rigoroso e uno stile interpretativo molto teatrale.
Le melodie del repertorio rinascimentale e barocco mi hanno fatto apprezzare l’importanza dell’essenziale grazie alle tournee europee fatte con il gruppo storico della Filarmonica Ceca de “I Madrigalisti” di Praga. A Berlino assieme alla cantante Celestina Casapietra, primo soprano solista dell´opera di Berlino ho imparato ad accompagnare e capire le esigenze dei cantanti, e quello che della musica spesso non si nota, i respiri, le pause, i silenzi.
La vita mi ha portato a girare il mondo sulle navi da crociera dove ho iniziato a scoprire la musica che volevo fare, il mio pubblico li era così variegato. Iniziai quindi ad improvvisare melodie semplici ed orecchiabili, accessibili a tutti, anche a chi con il repertorio classico non aveva nulla a che fare. Ed ecco piano piano formarsi questo mio stile personale, molto immediato, melodico e a volte ricercato con armonie molto classiche.
Il mare è legame di una vita, le onde e il suo profumo, i cambiamenti di colore e tutte le sfumature del mare stesso ispirano il susseguirsi delle note, delle pause, dell’andare e venire del suono.
In the home of Maestro Luis Landea, in the Ligurian hinterland, I learned the foundations of my musical style—a very unique approach based on rigorous respect for the score and a highly theatrical interpretative style.
The melodies of the Renaissance and Baroque repertoire taught me to appreciate the importance of the essential, thanks to European tours with the historic group of the Czech Philharmonic, ”The Prague Madrigalists”. In Berlin, alongside the singer Celestina Casapietra, lead solo soprano of the Berlin Opera, I learned how to accompany and understand the needs of singers, as well as those elements of music that often go unnoticed: the breaths, the pauses, and the silences.” “Life led me to travel the world on cruise ships, where I began to discover the music I wanted to create; my audience there was so diverse. I thus began to improvise simple and catchy melodies, accessible to everyone, even to those who had nothing to do with the classical repertoire.
And so, little by little, my personal style took shape—very immediate, melodic, and at times refined with very classical harmonies.
The sea is the bond of a lifetime; the waves and their scent, the changes in color, and all the nuances of the sea itself inspire the sequence of notes, the pauses, and the ebb and flow of the sound.
